I am starting a new series that I am going to call “Tips and Tricks for Shopping at…”
I will share my biggest tips and tricks for shopping at some of my favorite stores. This will include how I find the best deals, discounts I receive and coupons I use while shopping. Today I am featuring my absolute favorite store, Target.
- Sign up to receive emails. This may sound like a no-brainer, but that is always how I know what will be on sale and when. They send out weekly ads with all of the sales that will be offered online and in stores. Did you know that Target does BOGO half off and 25% off apparel, shoes and accessories? I always wait for one of those sales to buy clothing items and shoes.
- Download the Target cartwheel app! This app allows you to see coupons and discounts that Target is offering that week. You can even scan a barcode to see if there are any discounts that can be applied to you item. I never buy something at Target without checking to see if there is a coupon or discount on the cartwheel app. Also, discounts can be applied to clearance items! The more you use your app, the more badges you unlock and that leads to more savings!
- Get the Target Red Card. I didn’t get one until recently and I am glad that I did. It is not a credit card, it is basically linked to your checking account so it is used like a debit card. Using this card saves you 5% on all of your purchases and you get free shipping if ordering online. You also get an extra 30 days to return items if purchased using your Red Card.
- Shop the clearances section and The Dollar Spot. I can almost always find something on clearance at Target. The women’s clothing is priced 30%, 50% and 70% off. For home good and cosmetics/skin care, always check the end caps, that I where the majority of the clearance items are placed. As for The Dollar Spot, a trip to Target is never complete with out checking it out. I find tons of cute, seasonal décor as well as stationary and small gifts for $1-$3!Below are some of my favorite recent purchases from the Target Clearance section and The Dollar Spot!
Thank you so much for reading. I hope this helps you out on your next shopping trip to Target!
